U.S. News & World Report lists the 25 World’s Best Places to Visit. U.S. News used expert opinions, user votes and current trends to compile this list and if you are looking for places to add to your Bucket List then this is a great article to peruse.

Anthony Bourdain Says He Would Live in This Hotel for the Rest of His Life on Yahoo Travel + Leisure.  Melanie Lieberman writes that Bourdain loves the Chateau Marmont (Los Angeles, CA) above all other hotels and would not be cheated by life if he lived out his days there.  Hmmm …. this sounds like a place that we need to check out the next time we are visiting the City of Angels.

16 national parks star in new stamps on CNN.com where Katia Hetter submits a wonderful story on how the U.S. Postal Service is honoring the National Park Service by issuing 16 stamps highlighting some of the coolest National Parks in the system. After reading this story you have to add these National Parks to your Bucket List!

First Look at Air and Space Museum’s New ‘Milestones of Flight’ Hall on SPACE.com, Robert Z. Pearlman gives a wonderful overview of the “transformed” Milestones of Flight Hall in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. In celebration of the anniversary of the July 1, 1976 opening of the Hall, Boeing gifted $30 million for the redesign. 327 million visitors have enjoyed the Air and Space Museum over the past 40 years and every year it is one of the most visited museums in the world!

And to introduce us to one of the displays that has been restored in the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Sets Phasers To Restore On Original Starship Enterprise on NPR’s June 28 Morning Edition introduces us to the newly refurbished USS Enterprise from the original Star Trek TV series!

New slide: You, some glass and 1,000 feet of nothing on CNN.com where Sonya Hamasaki introduces us to the brand new glass SkySlide which takes a rider from the 70th to 69th floor of the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles, CA. Heading down this slide sure will make some memories!

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than a visit to Philadelphia and July 4th Events in Historic Philadelphia 2016 on VisitPhilly.com lists the wonderful things you can do in Philly to celebrate the birth of the United States. And do not forget that these wonderful sites can be enjoyed year round and not just around the 4th of July!

There are so many traditions in the U.S. but there are few as American as the annual July 4 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest and USA Today recaps this year’s gastronomical event in Joey Chestnut regains hot dog eating title, sets record. Now, for the record (and my wife just does not understand this – LOL), my kids and I look forward to watching the event every 4th of July!
